Miles Archer's JournalWoman with a cross & Botox needle marks: Please stop the fake outrage over Trump posting the Obamas as apes video
Deadline
@DEADLINE
Karoline Leavitt has defended an apparently AI-generated clip portraying Barack and Michelle Obama as apes shared on Donald Trumps Truth Social account.
In a statement sent to Deadline, the White House Press Secretary said: This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from The Lion King. Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.
Overnight, the U.S. presidents verified account twice posted a minute-long video about voting machine anomolies, which features the http://PatriotNewsOutlet.com watermark. In the final moments of the video, a two-second clip flashes up showing the Obamas as apes, dancing in a jungle setting to The Lion Sleeps Tonight

Trump: "I didn't see the whole thing. I'm not apologizing. I didn't make a mistake. It was a take off The Lion King."

Reporter: The WH says a staffer sent that video. Are you going to fire the staffer?
Trump: No. I looked at it. I didnt see the whole thing. I gave it to the people, they posted it.

Schumer calls out Trump, who has become the Jon Lovitz SNL "The Pathological Liar" character.

Absolute lie. He knows it. Everyone knows it.

Parkland Dad Fred Guttenberg sets Bill Cassidy (R-LA) straight on the topic of Trump posting racist bullsh*t
@fred_guttenberg
Are you for real? He knowingly posted racist trash. Racism is in his DNA. And you thank him?
You pathetic enablers are an embarrassment to America. Your tweet reinforces for me that the enablers are the problem. In 9 months, America will vote you back to the minority.

Judge rules that Trump CANNOT hold Gateway Tunnel funds hostage in exchange for his Dulles "renaming" demand
President Donald Trump received a blow in court on Friday evening as a judge ruled he cannot freeze federal funds for the Gateway Tunnel, a massively important $16 billion infrastructure project that adds new train capacity underneath the Hudson River connecting New York and New Jersey.
According to NBC News, "Construction on the project was expected to end Friday night without court intervention. Judge Jeannette Vargas has also asked for both parties to submit additional information on the issue within the next few days."
The ruling is only temporary, but it gives the project a reprieve from shutting down for now.

Jasmine Crockett: Trump's racist post came "the day after he said stop talking about the Epstein files"
"And so for everyone that wanted to say that Black people were overreacting or that we were being dramatic, I want to be clear that it's not just his words, it's in his policy that he is slinging this type of hate," said Crockett. "Whether we're talking about ICE and how he deals with everyone, because it's not limited to immigrants, or whether we're talking about the rolling back of diversity, equity and inclusion."
"And I do want to be clear you know, I don't give Donald Trump a lot of credit for much. But I will say this, he is the king of distractions and division," she continued. "And right now he has everyone talking about the fact that he posted something that was racist, which, frankly, if you've been paying attention, it was right on par. You're not surprised whatsoever, right? At the same time, this is the day after he said, stop talking about the Epstein files as more and more is coming out, as we're being told as lawmakers, that we're going to be given an opportunity to start to physically go and inspect the files he is trying to distract, and frankly, he is doing a good job of it."
"We know who he is," Crockett added. "We know who he was when he got elected the first time. We know who he was when he got elected this time. And so there's not really much to be surprised about when it comes to Donald Trump and not really having a level of respect specifically for people of color."

Wow, "Alito retirement rumors." As exciting as the rumors about a lifetime SCOTUS appointment for Aileen Cannon.
A SCOTUS justice retiring while we have a Republican president and a Republican majority in Congress is not something to look forward to.Justice Samuel Alito's new book, "So Ordered: An Originalist's View of the Constitution, the Court, and the Country," hits shelves in October, just a day after the Supreme Court's term officially kicks off on Oct. 5.
The timing sparked speculation for former litigator Elie Mystal, who questioned in The Nation why a sitting justice would release a book during the court's busiest season.
"Thats a curious date," he noted, calling the date a "giant tell."
Mystal added: "It sure feels like Alito doesnt plan on having a real job the Tuesday his book launches and instead thinks hell be free to run around the country promoting it."

Many thanks to the folks who sent me Valentines hearts.
Greatly appreciated. I'm extremely grateful to be a part of this community.
Time to end Franklin Graham's tax-exempt status as he blames Renee Good and begs for "prayers for Trump"
One option would have been to shut the fuck up and keep his opinion to himself. The headline tells the tale, I'm not going to post the content here. The link is provided if you want it. My reason for posting is expressed in my subject line. A "preacher" should not be allowed to "pontificate" in this manner and still enjoy a tax-exempt status.https://baptistnews.com/article/franklin-graham-blames-renee-good-urges-prayer-for-trump-team/
The guy who posted the "Obamas as apes" thing also called for the execution of 5 innocent Black men
I'm seeing a LOT of reactions to Trump's little stunt, and my response to my friends has been "HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN THIS GUY."
TV producer Mark Burnette INVENTED the "Apprentice" character and left out the part about Trump cheating on all of his wives, running casinos into the ground, six bankruptcies, paying off New York for marking "C" for "COLORED" on apartment applications from Black renters, ran a full page ad in the NYT calling for the execution of the Central Park Five, who were innocent, raping E Jean Carroll and being accused of sexual assault by 26 other women, siphoning off money into his own pockets from his "charity," before it was shut down, ran a fraudulent "university" before it was shut down, on and on and on and on...Burnette polished that turd until it turned into ratings gold.
So I'm as pissed off as anyone that Trump posted that filth, but THIS IS WHO HE HAS BEEN FOR HIS ENTIRE LIFE.
I think part of the challenge the public is having with processing this is not knowing or DENYING that THIS IS WHO TRUMP IS. THIS is the man that America elected (not taking into account how Musk may have "helped" with that).
